At Nacon Connect we were given our first look at the Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, an episodic adventure which takes place in the World of Darkness setting and comes from Big Bad Wolf, the developers behind the grossly under-appreciated episodic yarn The Council.
A pre-rendered trailer for Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong was released showcasing the political struggles that exist between the Boston and Hartford vampire clans and their ambitions to create an endless supply of blood for them to feed upon.
Like The Council before it, Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong is going to follow through on those same narrative adventure RPG mechanics where players are given a pen and paper RPG level of freedom in regards to the choices that can be made during gameplay and how the skills and abilities that you choose affect them in turn.
Plucked straight from the World of Darkness setting, players can elect to have persuasion, hacking, psychological terror skills and much more. Unlike The Council however, Swansong has players taking control of not one but three different vampires with each hailing from a different clan.
